The 200-seater restaurant is made up of exclusive private dining rooms, a bar opening out onto a vibrant courtyard, and a sophisticated cigar lounge.

The dynamic team at Five Flies has been enormously successful in making Five Flies one of the most stylish and popular restaurants in Cape Town. "The emphasis of the kitchen is on unique flavours together with exquisite presentation, using the finest and freshest ingredients", comments chef Greg Bevarstock.

The menu offers a selection of exquisite dishes, combining local and international elements with true cosmopolitan flair. It is unique in that it features a choice of different set menus listed within various price categories.

Five Flies is open from Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays for dinner only. Street Parking available on Keerom or Leeuwen or Dorp street.

Fresh asparagus with hollandaise sauce, roast pepper puree and toasted almonds

Oak smoked salmon and fish fritters, potato rosti, watercress and citrus aioli

Roasted field mushroom with caramelized onion, gorgonzola and creamy artichoke, truffel sauce

Fresh Saldanha bay mussels with basil cream and garlic toasts

Beef Carpaccio with parmesan shavings, Dijon mayonnaise and marinated shitake mushrooms

Steamed sole fillets with prawn thermidor, crushed potato-corn salad and basil sauce

Linefish, freshly delivered and served with a twist from the kitchen

Prawn green thai curry with coconut rice, pak choi and roasted peanuts


MEAT:

T-Bone (400g) with roast butternut, spinach, rosemary spiked potato chips and peppercorn sauce

Chicken breast filled with goat's cheese on ratatouille, saute potatoes and watercress cream sauce

Roast, pressed veal shoulder with horseradish potato, roasted beetroot, asparagus and smoked butter jus

Char-grilled siloin (200g) on blue cheese polenta, mushroom and corn ragout, grain mustard jus

Braised lamb shank on basil potato puree, roasted root vegetables and thyme jus
